GCC Countries and UAE Visa Requirements

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) consists of six countries:

  • Kuwait
  • Bahrain
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia

Citizens of GCC countries do not require a UAE eVisa to enter Dubai.

Do Foreign Residents in GCC Need a UAE Visa?

If you are a foreign resident living in a GCC country, you do need a visa to travel to the UAE. Thanks to the online UAE eVisa system, you can apply conveniently without visiting an embassy or consulate.

The online application process is simple and allows tourists to stay in Dubai for up to 90 days. Multiple types of UAE visas are available depending on your travel purpose.

How GCC Residents Can Apply for a UAE eVisa

Residents of GCC countries can apply for a UAE eVisa by completing the online eVisa application form. You will need to:

  • Select your nationality and country of residence
  • Provide basic personal details and passport information
  • Specify your travel dates

Requirements for GCC Residents Applying for a UAE eVisa

  • Visit duration to UAE must not exceed 90 days
  • Visa is for tourism and short stays only
  • Passport copy with at least 6 months validity
  • Scanned copy of GCC residence permit and GCC ID card
  • Credit or debit card to pay the visa fee

Once approved, the eVisa will be sent by email. Present the eVisa along with your passport at UAE border control for entry.

Applying for a UAE Visa with a GCC Residence Permit

If you live in a GCC country but hold citizenship from another country, you must apply for a UAE travel visa using your valid GCC residence permit (minimum 6 months validity). Some nationalities may only need a passport and photograph.

Arriving in the UAE with an eVisa

  • Present your passport and eVisa copy upon arrival
  • Immigration officers will verify your documents at the airport
